Summer Running and October Gala
The Severn Valley Railway had something of a Steam shortage resulting in a good amount of additonal running for the diesel locomotives based there including D821 Greyhound and D1062 Western Courier on the hydraulic front.

22nd May 2011
The Severn Valley Railway 1960s event took place from the 20th to the 22nd of May and saw D821 taking part representing the diesel locomotives of the time along with D1062 Western Courier.
The DTG sales stand was open for business and Steve Hampton was there on the 22nd, a selection of his photos are shown below. Click on any photo to enter the gallery.
11th September 2010
Something of a tradition and a final get-together in Chris Broadhurst's memory, DTG Committee, Shareholders and Friends gather for the final running day of the year. D821 was rostered for the Severn Valley Railway C Diagram. A selection of photos from the day are below, click on any thumbnail to enter the gallery.
11th-13th June 2010
D821 travelled to the West Somerset Railway to take part in the celebrations for GWR 175 and join the other surviving Warship, D832 Onslaught. A selection of photos from the event are below, click on any thumbnail to enter the gallery.
12th April 2010
Following the DTG AGM held at the Kidderminster Railway Museum a short ceremony was held to show D821 fitted with new Chris Broadhurst Nameplates. The loco will wear these plates for the whole of the 2010 running season in memory of Chris who sadly passed away in 2008.
Chris was also remembered by way of a wreath carried by D1015 on 'The Great Eastern Western' railtour which ran on the 20th of December 2008. The tour report can be viewed by clicking here. A photo from the railtour is included below, click on any thumbnail to enter the gallery.
8th-10th October 2009
Months of hard work by the D821 Working party were rewarded when D821 'Greyhound' made a welcome return to traffic working all three days at the Severn Valley Railway Diesel Gala. The locomotive performed impeccably throughout with the last run on the Saturday being on load eight and a dead Class 50.
